Drove to a ghost town today and worked my but off to find only one coin. But it was a 1930 S Buffalo has a lot of detail and a full date. Still fighting for another hunt each week.
Thanks for looking

At least you found something!!
LOL
I was lucky to find a 1937 buffalo nickel in my cash drawer last year!!
It is the only one I have, too.
Good luck on your next trip there, hopefully you'll get more!

Dated Buffalos are hard to find. Congrats on a good clear one.

Is that a hole at the top? That would explain how it never got worn down, being on a string or chain. Awesome find.

Good looking coin in great shape! Mama enjoyed collecting coins, so I bought her a 1930 since that was her birth year. May be the only coin you found, but that's all it takes! Thanks for sharing it with us.

I finally found one last week where I could read the date. Sure beats all the corroded ones I've found.

No its not a hole it's green rot or discoloration

Nickels are the worst coins they are almost always toasted when they come out of the ground. I dig them when I'm positive it's a nickel

Good looking Buff for sure! Nice!

Nice find! Finding those with the dates is pretty special! Congrats and HH!

I've been trying to fill that "Buff" spot in my Finds box for 10 years, since I started doing this. So, last month I took my son with me to a local park and he pulls out a 34 Buff in about 5 minutes with my old Whites. Go figure. Thats a nice one you got.
