A guy apporached me to find his lost wedding ring a couple weeks ago while I was detecting. His wife was crying so I didn't think it was one of them, "Lets have the nerd look for something," After covering an area as large as two football fields, I located it in less than knee deep water. He lost it when he entered the water, not two hours later when he noticed it missing. I returned it yesterday and got about 8 hugs! ;D

Sure makes you feel good to return something. Besides, now that I know the ring has been found, I can move on to other areas. It is hard to run a tight search pattern in the water at a large beach.

WTG!
You're a credit to the detecting community.
May your next one be a keeper for you.

That couple must of been really happy! I cant see the picture but must of been a beautifull ring :D

Good you returned it.
I am always thinking that if I can't find it that they are thinking I did and just keeping it :(

Great story, Sandman. You make it look easy! :) The good you do will come back to you tenfold. :)
