Nice coin! Unless you have a chainsaw Lesche, I don't think you took that chunk out. Congrats!

Standing liberty Half Dollar. I think I screwed it up with the leshe tool though.
One of the most beautiful coins AND size one can find. However, it's a WALKING Liberty. Quarters are Standing Liberty.

Did your detector say it was a half and did you pinpoint to the max so that it was in the center of your coil? If you did that then you needed only to cut a plug just larger than the half, gently, and you would not have damaged such an ideal coin.

Silver Fox

Great Find Lostlake. Glad I was there to see it found. I don't think you dinged it, that is old damage. While Lostlake was off digging big silvers, I was stuck digging a couple rosies, but did manage a 1902O Barber Dime at sundown.

Very nice quarter. I would have to agree. I don't think you done that kind of damage trying to dig it up. Nevertheless, great find

Are the edges of the damage shiny or dull? If they're not shiny you didn't do it!

My hunting buddy found one of those not too long ago. They are beautiful coins. I got one the other night as partial payment for a computer job I did.

Good job, keep on swinging
