I finally found my first silver coin. It's a 1947 dime. I didn't think It would ever happen but now I am ready to go at it again tomorrow. All found at a local church built in the 1920's. The pastor's husband asked me if I had found any BSA things and after 2 hours I hadn't but within 30 minutes of him asking I had found 3 neckerchief slides. and a tootsie car.

You will never forget where you pulled your 1st silver. Congrats on the 47 Rosie.

Congrats on your 1st silver coin! I hunted 8 months almost every day before I found mine, then 2 days later on next hunt found my 1st quarter, so keep it up, they'll keep coming! And I agree with Loco-Digger, you'll never forget where you found your 1st one. To this day I'm still as excited with each one I find, I hate clad lol, live for silver coins!

nice way to start down the silver road

Sweet, Congrats on that first silver coin!! Bet your flying high...

I never found one of those Boy Scout necker chiefs. That is until I got permission to detect a local church yard recently.
I ended up finding 13 and believe there's still more there. Found out the Boy Scouts use the yard for their meetings. Lol
