Managed to find this 1923-S Merc today: first silver coin I've found in over a month. Better date too!

Now that your silver drought is over, hopefully silver coins will pour into your hands in May! Last week I dug my very first Merc, a 1941 in nice shape with grey toning -- very exciting for me as my son & detecting buddy has already dug several Mercs. Best of luck to you! Andi

Congratulations. I'm on a 6 week silver slump. I found a 1936 buffalo nickel and several early date wheat pennies over the weekend, but still no silver.
