Yesterday late afternoon after 21 days, we finally got some much needed rain in the form of a 45 minute shower. I had the water hose in hand and was about to water some newly planted bushes when the rain came. Our country has some of the strangest weather. Usually in the summer months we in the South usually couldn't buy rain, while folks out West have been hammered with floors and tornadoes. My heart goes out to them. I'm not going to complain. It could always be worse, and unfortunately for some of has been. God's Speed to them all.

You lucky dog, devldog. You actually have dry weather. We, here in Penna, are saturated. The ground is so wet, I can't til the soil. I haven't been able to plant cold weather crops such as peas and beets. My rain barrels are full, waiting for dry weather. I have blueberry bushes coming today that I can't plant, the soil is too wet to amend, more rain tomorrow. Ah, the joys of gardening.

We are soaked big time here, got a 2 inch rain in forty minutes yesterday, the ground is already saturated and has been for several months. The Arkansas River is busting out everywhere and going to make life trying for those on the mighty Mississippi River as it grows and grows

I hear ya DD , Esp coming off the wettest year on record here in N GA & other areas + the Wet Spring ???

I hunted in Jonesboro (for the first time ever ) 'All the stuff that BLASTED up in the spring was wilted as was most med size Trees. It was a 45 min drive down at 75 mph avg, & about 6.30 as I was driving North , I could see the Dark Clouds .

I got home & stayed in the Garage for almost an hour watching the rain & giving thanks.

We got right at a half inch in my rain meters.

I watched the Radar as the storms moved south through Paulding , & SE toward you , I was hoping the super dry area I had hunted earlier that day got rain , but? I don't know if it ever made it that far South .

We got Rain in the forecast tho . Thumbs-Up!

I live in the central highlands of Mexico. Except or one quick shower, the last rain we got until the last two days was in November. In the last 48 hours, we got two inches. I believe it mostly soaked in. The only reason people can live here is the hills are filled with a type of limestone, and during the rainy season, those hills fill with water, which runs out of springs during the dry season.

Crazy wet here too! I thought they quit making water years ago, so where is all of this coming from!

I keep telling myself "Ya, but it's a dry heat!"
