Has been about 3 years now of hunting boxes every week since I have had a 'good' box of halves. My biggest find in the past was 23 90% out of one box. Yesterday was a awesome box, for me. I have recently increased the box purchase from 2 per week to 4 per week. The first box I opened had 2 rolls showing that great silver look so I proceeded to open the rolls. That box had 30 1964 coins and 28 Bens for a total of 58 90% coins, and the balance of the 3 boxes left had 4 40% and 2 S coins. I did the happy dance and had my wife ooh and aw at the appropriate level of excitement for me, she has been so supportive in my hunting efforts. In between my weekly box purchasing I stop at various banks and credit unions asking for halves and have been fairly lucky in picking up the occasional silver. My small pile of silver is growing and some day it may be worth something again :laughing7:

Dang that's a sweet haul- so no 40% in the box with all the 90%'s? That's a bit odd but can't complain- happy thanksAGiving to ya

Id sure say that was a great box! And I assure u your pile of silver is worth something right now. There is more monetary value in one silver nickel, dime, quarter or half dollar than in all the U.S. dollars in the world combined. Its just a matter of time before the rest of the world realizes this again as well.

H$H and Happy Thanksgiving!

Awesome find! Something to be thankful for! Almost 9 oz silver. Something to be thankful for!

weighit - great finds. Can you clarify something for us, you found 58 90%ers in the box but don't mention if you found any 40%ers.

Thanks.

No that box was just 90% coins. This was the flat single layer box and as I open up the top I always scan the tops of the rolls looking for any sign of silver. I used to take the rolls out of the box and scan the bottoms before opening. I also tried weighing each roll before opening looking for some indication that there just might be a silver in the roll. Now I just look then start opening. On this box by the time I had 1/2 of the rolls opened and about 27 90% coins found I went to show my wife that I had a box that beat my previous record. I took photos but can't seem to get them to post correctly on this site.

Very cool. That's probably more 90's in that box than I've gotten from every box I've ever opened.
