After several days of TRYING to get out, I pulled the trigger this morning
and hit a spot with kimsdad and Olderactor that I'd been wanting to hunt
before the veg growth became unbearable.
About 15-minutes into the hunt, I got a sweet, repeatable target on the side
of a hill that had silver written all over it. As I dug, I hit a root and a few stones
but prevailed with a 1923 Merc! It's been at least a week-and-a-half since my
last silver and I'd almost forgot what a silver sounded or even looked like.
After re-checking the hole and circling the area, I got an even sweeter target
about 3-feet away. . . a 1909 BBQ. The rest of the hunt was uneventful except
for a few wheats, a destroyed Zippo, a piece of lead, a ladies' compact and
part of a child's golf club.
Thanks for looking!
