I have a question about filing a claim. There is an area that has an old claim on it. There is not closed date on the LR2000, but the last assessment year is 2013 and not the updated 2014 like all other active claims. Does this mean they have not completed the paper work yet and that I will have an opportunity to claim it?

Its a big corporation that had the previous claim and I think they may have overlooked it.

Thanks for the help!

Check with the County Recorder to see if the fee payment was recorded there. LR2000 is full of errors imo and not reliable as a single source reference. The County Recorder is THE legal entity for claims.

I agree with SLN - guys on here tell us that they are up-to-date at the county recorder's office, but LR2000 doesn't show the updates. If u go have it checked at recorders, there's no confusion. The clerks there are paid to assist you.

Don't rely on LR2000 status until at least April of 2014 and even then, take it with a grain of salt.

Two years ago the LR2000 didn't update my claims until March. And that was after I made a phone call.
