Figural shard - gold? silver?

Man I wish I would have found the whole piece for this, whatever it is. It has more of a golden color to it than a silver color, and it is plated onto whatever the inner core is made out of. The figure on the front looks puritan or pilgrim to me (appears to be wearing a pilgrim hat). It also looks holiday oriented -- presents below with bells around? I'm really not sure, but hoping someone recognizes what this might be.

The dimensions are approximately 1"h x 1"w x 0.2"d

A piece of a cast iron bell maybe? Are there any old schools or churches nearby? Happy hunting, Sub 8-)

It's a large wooded area that goes back to the early 1800's at least. There's a cemetery nearby with dates from that period. I found this right on one of the walking paths. I hit the same spot hard a couple days later but no other pieces found unfortunately.
