After them again at the picnic grove this am. When into the iron fields, 5in excellerator coil, all metal-ferrous sounds, digging anything that peeped high. Pulled 9 wheats (11,14(no D :o),19D,17,17,20,25,32,45) and a 1905 indian. I think the older coins were out of reach since most of the wheats were right on the fringe, just barely peeping.

I think that's a record haul on wheats for me? (And on beavertails too.) Couple plain buttons, random what's its, and lots of can-slaw too.

Many of the coins were masked by the nails, but you still could hear just enough to investigate. Learned a bunch today, yesterday I was there for a while with the 8in sunray, and you can see some (not all) of what it missed.

No silver this weekend? I'll be back next weekend!!!

Nice job, Dream!!

My take was very similar to yours last Friday. I ended up with an '05 IH, 20 wheats (incl. '14s), and a '53 Quarter.
Keep at that spot. There's bound to be some silver there. The iron and trash are most definitely masking the deeper good targets.

Great finds! I'll bet there is silver there somewhere.

Silver is there, good luck next week!! Nice Indian!

Gotta love the smaller coils! I'm with everyone else on this one....there's bound to be some silver popping out next hunt.
