Field to dowse

I was out in this field today, and I set the MFD to silver. At first, I just got a signal line running to a house nearby. After a few minutes, I got another signal line which I followed, and it did not leave this field. I double checked it with a calculator, and triangulated on it. I have marked the spot in the field, but think there may silver there. I thought I'd bounce it off some of our dowsers and see what they find. If you'd care to dowse it, I'd be grateful. I'd really like to know if you find anything, and if you do, how deep is it?

Okiedowser, and Art...

Thank you both. OD, I got your message this morning, and went out to the field, (before I got Art's message). I only searched with the MFD, but made it over to the two areas that you indicated. I got no signal from either one, but the signal that I did get lead me straight to the site that I found yesterday. Which, happens to be VERY close to the "good" site you marked.

With the MFD, I'm not that experienced yet to be able to tell depth really well, which is why I was asking. Very interesting that the site you found is only about 60 feet away from the site I found.

Art, I will hopefully get out there and check for the can soon. Possible this coming Monday. I'd like to wait until it's very foggy so as not to attract too much attention.

If anyone else wants to have a go at dowsing the field, have at it.

Thanks!

Hey NorthWind..I know I am not suppose to talk about electronic devices .But you should test at home to make sure you know where to mark the spot before you dig. You can be as much as 3 feet off and find nothing...The same goes for those using Dowsing...Art

Okiedowser, so if I get you a picture taken from the ground right in that area you could help pinpoint?

Art, thanks for the advice. I've got it narrowed down to a circle about 2 or 3 feet across. Should be in the center, no?

Okiedowser, I will see what I can do. I'm having some camera issues at the moment.

Art, yes. I've kind of marked my target the same way...in a rectangle. The rods close, then open again as I walk. I mark where they begin to close, and where they are just open. I figure the center of the box to the edge is how deep it is. Interestingly enough, it's just about 20 inches from center to edge.

I don't have a MD, so I will be digging blind.

All minerals have what is referred to as a "HALO" or cone of energy that comes to the surface at a 45 degree angle from the target. To determine the depth of a target--------

1. Stand over your target with the L-rods crossed.
2. Slowly walk away from the target and the rods will open and point ahead.
3. Inch along until the rods form an inverted V with the tips about 1 !/2 inches apart and mark the spot.
4. Measure the distance back to your target. That's how deep the target is.
5. If you measured 1 foot the target is less than 1 foot deep.

Exactly. I remember reading that before, and that's why I marked it the way I did. Thanks for bring it up. Looking forward to getting back out there, hopefully Monday.

Art the site you marked I will check out, but perhaps it's the same one Okiedowser hit...just slightly off. If my site is right, this may be a can of silver coins, 20" deep ( a combo plate of Okiedowser, you, and my MFD ).

Hi NorthWind,
My dowse revealed that in the green circle area there is a gold item about 4 to 5 inches deep.
Within the blue rectangle are scattered silver coins.
The large blue circle within the rectangle is a silver coins cache 15" deep in a glass jar, about 5lbs. of coins. There is another strong silver attraction near that blue circle.
Near the smaller blue circles are more scattered silver coins.
I picked up on that there was a shallower cache that was hit and scattered by someone working the field.
Thanks for posting your picture,
Jon

Jon,

Thanks very much! Yeah, I get a strong silver hit near there as well. Now I just have to pinpoint.

Hi I checked but only had a hit on silver near red spot. Could be some coins in that area.

The big signal I get, is marked by a yellow X with yellow line around it...6-7 feet deep. to the right is a circled red X, something leather maybe even mostly rotted away by now...5-6 feet deep. Thought it was a dead horse at first, but after checking, seems to be what was on a horse, perhaps contained a treasure which had to be buried. Other signals marked by red X.
