Field of Silver: The Sequel (April 13, 2011 finds)

My buddy and I went back to the field that we metal detected on Saturday and gave it another try to see how much more stuff we could find. We started at 8 am and metal detected till a little after 7 pm. To my surprise, I still found another 30 pieces of silver including 7 Barber coins that I wasn't expecting to find bringing my total silver count for the 2 days to 50 pieces and my total coin count to just around 140 pieces. It's nice to know that places like this are still out there despite the fact that they are far and few in between. We were told that a number of people has metal detected this same area over the years and it makes you wonder just how much was really out there to begin with if I found this much just myself.

You do know that as a new member, (under 100 postings), you are required to mention in greater detail where your
detecting spots are located. Most prefer using Google Earth, with it's wonderful pushpin accessory.
