Headed out today with my little brother and Mom, Arty had to work today. It was windy and sunny out and perfect digging weather. We have been hunting this field once a week for over a month now and have produced many great finds. I came away with 24 buttons today and 2 coppers. 1 is an 1820ish US and the other I think is a KGII. I also found a beautiful nipple button without a mark on it and looked like it was just dropped (Minus the steel shank) The finds are getting scattered but you just have to detect where the holes arent :laughing7:. Looks like a carpet bomb went off on these fields. Well my brother did well and found a cut 3 cent
piece :icon_scratch:which we thought was spanish. And a handful of buttons. Mom has something that made all of our finds found thus far pail in comaprison. Ill wait for her to post up but I could hear her yelling from a half mile away when she found it. Some people have all the luck :tongue3: Picture with the Nipple Button is an early 1 piece marine. Needs some TLC but should clean up.

Another awesome day for our memory books. To spend the day with both my Boys was priceless! Nice finds Jim! Wish Arty could have been there though:(

That was a very popular place in the day no doubt about it; still producing is a testament. Good Saves buddy :occasion14:

That field is amazing? It's so cool when you get to hunt one of those kind of places.

Awesome site for sure. I've never found nearly so prolific.
Hard to say what might still be there.

awesome finds jim, i know art will be super excited especially for your mom's finds, congrats. too all, that t2 is a slammer with the 13 "

Nice finds again Jim. Is that a drilled shank button that's with the nipple button?

Nice finds BUTTON MASTER... You have a knack for finding the little buggers. The nipple button is an exceptional old beaut. That is still allot of buttons for a hunted site. I will try my luck tomorrow...

Love those buttons! Nipple button is a real oldie! Still high on my bucket list!
