Field of glory

After spending night after night researching over and over , just found a spot that was less then 2 miles from my house , town owned field but looks like part of a existing house on the street in front of it . Found a path to the field and within the first hour I could tell its never been detected . 1600's to early 1700's homestead . So far I pulled lots of bullets some relics but these coins are my best finds yet, myself and metal addict had a glorious day here are my finds.......2 KG II , 1 Indian 1858, 1 wheat
1 bust large cent , British flat button...I'm still smiling as I write this post . Thanks for looking happy hunting. P.s. Metal addict should be posting his finds from today soon

Great location you found there... 2 KGII's and a Draped, I would say that's worth getting excited about.
Also way to go on the early IH and the flat button. I would be going back to that place again.

looks more like mid 1700s to early 1800s though
KGs have alot of wear - so my guess thy were lost late 1700s early 1800s

I'd like to see more, but think it's very possible it doesn't even date back to the 1700s. Lots of wear on the halfpennies, and even a fair amount on the large cent.

To answer the date of the area I hunted is as quoted on the landmark stone located there is " this is the old homestead of ------ who lived here 1680-1730" the house that I mentioned earlier on the road in front dates early 1800's .. The town I live in was established in 1639 so it is a very old town

Will be very interesting if you can hunt on some of the earliest sites.
