The bronce art-medal is 8 cm in diameter,and is dated between 1870 to 1900.

Why is the lady teasing the child with that mirror?

She don't.
It's a kind of symbolism.No child;it's an angel (notice the wings!) with a torch in hand.The lady is a kind of godess (Aphrodite?),showing the mirror.
I have to do some studies in order to experience the real meaning of that.
