went out for a short lunch break hunt and found a neat browne's dairy and creamery brass token. good for 1 pint of milk. also says dial 2-0571. I called them but no one answered..:laughing7: also found a small buckle and a patnd march 9 1920 nugrape bottle. thanks and hh to all!!

I assume it was you who posted the pics of the Browne's token on TokenCatalog.com - what is the reference for the attribution to Soperton, GA? Thanks!

I mean it's a GA token and that's the city in GA where I found it.

blugotti--what I was looking for was a reference (like a directory listing) that proves the piece is from Soperton, GA. Being found there doesn't say that it is from there. I see on tokencatalog.com that it is also attributed to Savannah and it is shown in Partin's GA Book with the comment, "J. Palmer Browne operated this dairy in 1933." In general a "maverick" token like this is from a single town and if it is from Savannah, then Soperton should be eliminated unless there is compelling evidence that Browne's Dairy was indeed in Soperton - in that case Savannah should be eliminated.
