As most of you know I have taken a few months break from CRH'ing but after reading some post this past week my interst has spiked so I decided to pick up some boxes that a bank has been holding for me.
Getting back into the forum and reading some post has somewhat rekindled that fire inside of me to do some searching. I will admit I felt pretty awkward at first...ha! My ears struggled for that distinctive "clink" sound of silver for the first 6-7 rolls. I was excited to get back to it.
Anyway, one bank had four boxes that they have been holding for me for some time now. All dated with the same date. As I remembered, this date hadn't been kind to me prior to taking my break so I wasn't expecting much.
The 1st box yielded 30 40% & 3 proofs.......my excitement soared.
The 2nd box produced another 30 40% and 1 90% Kennedy......yes, I was very tickled.
The 3rd box brought me back down to earth....ha......5 40%.
The 4th box.......well I was thinking about going back to my break....J/K.......4 40%.
It was fun to get back into it. I will say I had a ball. Tomorrow I am cashing in and going to another bank that is holding boxes for me. I think what I will experience once I get started full steam is that I may have to go through all of my rejects (if they have been boxed & not just sitting in a hopper) before I get back to seeing new coins. Some will be coins I haven't sifted through hopefully. Before the break I think I was staying ahead of the distribution center but with the 3 month break maybe they have caught up??
Either way....it's all good. We'll see how it goes.
