Looks good, from here!!! Only a couple inches here, across the lake....................but man it is cold!! 4 degrees, and windy. Good day for some research, and chicken and dumplings.

Well good luck with all that.:laughing7: We'r heading for some better weather in the coming days I'm hearing. :hello2:

Well cooper & TR...think I'll just shovel a door path for the dog to do his 'business'...then tomorrow, go get the damn quarry loader & bucket!! LOL!

That just don't even look like fun to my old bones. Where I'm at, high fog, 40 degrees F, damp, freezing my buns off. I recollect breaking ice for the stock in Nevada, in below zero
weather, and just wearing a down vest. Here in western Oregon, 40 degrees F sinks clear into the bone.

I truly feel for you guys with that lake effect snow.....and just up North in general. Here in Oklahoma if a half inch of snow is forecast there are runs on the grocery stores....no milk and bread to be found....hahaha. Its like the end of the world is coming. When we do get that rare 12 inches of snow every few years, people REALLY think the end of the world has come.

That's right BM, heavy/wet/damp snow or weather travels right through to the bone!...only thing I know that works for me..coat, "thick" eider down/with waterproof exterior shell, pants..my old pure wool "Logging/chainsaw pants with suspenders!!(heavy if left around the waist!) LoL! ;)

Hey T733, you know what it's like too! ;) Here, keep some extra dry goods/canned goods etc. stocked for winter...no need for water, just open your door! haha! :) Little stone table (3 1/2" top) beside my truck shows what snow has stayed since Jan.1st. (green Xmas and till NYE!)

Pretty good troop and that brings back memories. We don't have 'lake effect' snow here, just regular snow. Good thing, I will take 2 feet of snow in one night over an Oklahoma ice storm any day. Best thing, in my second career, during winter weather, I do not have to hear a dispatcher tellin me 'OHP is 10-6 with multiple 76's; can you respond to a signal 82 at mile marker 89?' (Being a 'local', regardless of what I felt about gettin out there on the big road, my response was always, 'Affirmative, 10-8 enroute.'

Gosh! That makes me cold just lookin' at it!
Dang!!
That is just TOO MUCH!

Yep, hear ya RGINN, still got 3-4 lives left outta mine 9 (cats life) ;)...even though all the earlier/past 5-6 that I survived were all work'n in The Rockies. ;)

nice, loved those days when i was young,i have not seen a snow shovel in so long.

had me thinking i could just jog across the blue water bridge, like many times before, and help you out.but not sure how long it would take me too get a passport, that and i would have to drive from tenn to the bridge now.or there is that scary train tunnel that goes under the St Clair river, but ill never go back under there.do kids come around and want too shovel your driveway?

Looks like you are finally starting to get some accumulation of snow.
We have had quite a bit of snow so far this season. It almost seems that the good ole snowy winters are coming back. It has been snowing off and on the last couple of days. This morning it was just above freezing, but by mid afternoon it started to snow some more.

TJE....so, does the dog's path look like the "parting of the white sea", with all your snow you've gotten? I think old digger is right....this is the most snow we've had here in years & this early! Will be an interesting 2015!

Very interesting................your from my home town!!! I still live here, did the RR tunnel thing, as a teen, and walked the Blue Water Bridge many times to get fire crackers!!! when you could just walk or drive to Canada, with no passport. The water is still blue as can be.................and still cold in Aug. it sure is a small world, here on Tnet........HH

here in north idaho we got a couple days of steady snow but this morning it started raining. more rain coming in a couple days then we get more snow.
keep warm and dry folks.
