Hello again and welcome to another exciting round of "What Is It".
Our first item of the day appears to be something similar to a button. It may be lead-filled brass and has wire connectors on the back. I'm not sure if this is Military or civilian.
Item number two is a so strange I have no clue to it's possible identity. It has the numbers "22512" stamped on it along with something else which I can't make out.
Both items were found near a Union Fort.
Good luck. Let's play "What Is It" and thanks for participating. :laughing7:

no clue but it's pretty interesting!with the bendable wires on back it's obvious that it went through something and was attached to a harness or something.what's it made out of? pewter?

Yeah I'm not sure what it's made of but it could be brass and lead. Found near a Cavalry Fort. Thanks for looking though.

The piece with the wires is more than likely from a horse harness. Probably civilian. the other piece i have no idea

The piece with the numbers looks like a seal of some sort

The only thing that comes to mind is a WAG ...which I almost never make in the What-Is-It forum.

I've seen various early-1900s items which are marked with the US Patent-date in very-simple numerical form. Maybe, just maybe, the number 22512 on it means Patented February 25, 1912. Perhaps some of the forum's Patent-research whizkids (who are better than me at it) will be willing to check that possibility to ID your relic.

Cannonballguy I know what you mean! Perhaps an electrical circuit or wire identification tag? I have several on my Cable TV, phone and electric meter. They are all lead with a steel or copper wire. Monty
