February 2025 week 3 day 3 huge take home today

So today was a mix of CoinStar hunting for 3 hrs then detecting and digging coins for 2 hrs before going to work.
So my first CoinStar stop yealded $4.84 all from under one machine. It pays to carry a paint mixing stick in your car just for this purpose.
The picture of the coins on the seat is from that first stop, then a second picture take of the pile after washing and counting just those coins.
I went to 10 CoinStars today included one new one I added today. The next picture is the coins found from the remaining 9 machines I checked today. Most again under the machine. Collected $1.63 from the other 9 machines.
Then 2 hrs of metal detecting a basketball court that was previously front with tons of targets to dig could not stay longer as I had to get to work. My detecting total was $3.16.
My total coins hunted today $9.63

So let me get this straight... and no offense...
You drove / drive around to 10 coinstars for less than 8 bucks in change ? ? ?

So... in other words... you spent at least $10 dollars in gas... not to mention the time and wear and tear on your vehicle... and added to traffic congestion and pollution for less than $8 ? ? ?

I am sorry... but i do not see ANY logic in this.
Quite the contrary.

Again no offense and not slamming ya... just does not seem to be worth any of it.

I can see IF you are already at a store for a reason... but to purposely go to multiple stores for the sole reason of scrounging change is ludicris... and at the very least plain silly.

Also ... i cannot help thinking about an image of someone scrapping around on the floor with a paint stick under a machine scrounging around for dropped change in a public place.

They are on my way to work, nope not on meds and am just fine. It's a hobby I enjoy, just like metal detecting is. Thanks for your 2 cents, for what it was worth. And could care less what someone might think, seeing it.

Sounds like me with worms and gas. And still buying fish but ....that fish store does have a coinstar if I remember to look.
