I had a conversation recently with someone from the Missouri GPAA club. He mentioned the Faucett, Mo strewnfield. This is about an hour from where I live. He talk about the possibility of organizing a hunt.( If we can get permission, of course) Just about all the land is privately owned. Anyone familiar with this meteorite fall? I believe it occured in the very early 1900's, less than 20 pieces have been recovered. I did a little research on it. I guess it is an ordinary stone chondrite with a little metallic content, so they may be detectable.
