I was looking inside some old boxes today and found this old waffle irons. I don't anything about them except I remember when my dad found them. I came home from H.S. one day (71'-72') and he had this new metal detector. It was a Whites Coinmaster and his first one. It was a blue box and it took a LOT of D-cell batteries. I still have it in a closet. He loaded it up with batteries and headed into the woods about 5 miles from home. When he came home he had a handful of coins and 1/2 of a waffle maker. He MD'd a very old home foundation he said. He was cleaning up the coins and washing the 1/2 iron in the sink. I thought it was cool what he found. He was on cloud nine and loving his new machine...!
For the next week he went out and found many items in the same area. Then he came home with the other 1/2 of the waffle iron. Again he was very happy with himself. He really loved his waffle iron find...! He cleaned them up and had them hung in the kitchen for around 25 years. So does anybody recognize these old irons...? On both halves it say's....

On one half at the base of the handle near iron is 314. The other half in the same spot says 315. I have no idea what that means or stands for. The pics probably aren't the best but you'll get the idea what they are. When I found them today that memory flooded back and I thought I'd share it with ya all. My dad passed some years ago and I got the MD AND THE WAFFLE IRONS...! I just thought it was cool he found halves over a week apart. Thanks for looking...!
