Got out for a few hours with a couple fellow fathers today. The heat and humidity was brutal so we decided to hunt woods. One of my buddys brought a dredge device to try to scoop goodies from the bottom of a few wells that I knew were on site, but there was too much crappola in them to get a good bite. Anyway, the guys didn’t find any coins but did manage a bunch of spoons, folks and doodads of all sorts. I was the only one to dig a coin and they were good ones for this spot. I hit a 1919-S walker (I just posted this morning that they were out there still😝) and a 1917 mercury and what I think is a wheatie but it’s crusty so we’ll see. I also got a copper ashtray/bowl that blew my ears off, a musket ball and other assorted dirt bootie.

Happy fathers!!!!!!!!

Very nice silver hunt, congrats! :occasion14:

That Walking half is a beauty. My two halfs of that variety were toasty beach finds. Congrats on a really nice find.

Nice hunt and ALWAYS great to get a silver half. Too hot for land hunting for me, so underwater at the camp I went. Nothing special except cooling down with my bass and sunfish friends.
