Hit the water in a new lake today and made some exciting finds. I started out hunting in the swimming area without much luck. It wasn't until I moved out past the roped off area and into the weeds before I started finding anything. I think the beach must have moved down the shore line over the years because I was finding lots of clad in an area that really shouldn't have had many swimmers.

In addition to a few bucks in clad I pulled out 2 silver dimes, a silver Washington, and very cool 16.8g 10K 1968 class ring!

The ring is from the Mechanic Arts High School in St Paul MN, which I believe in now defunct. There are initials inscribed on the inside so I should be able to find the ring's long lost owner. We'll see.

Thanks for looking

Congrats thats a cool looking find..

Well done hope you find the owner probably a great story leap us posted

they would be about 63 years old now. hopefully they weren't one of the many who perished in Vietnam

Hefty gold ring indeed -- WOW! :wav: Nice silvers also, looks like you'll be finding more good surprises there! HAVE FUN!

I dug my second gold ring this week also, in a very unlikely junked-up spot full of broken glass, big trashed metal objects, etc. Andi

Great job... and I truly hope you can track down the owner. Please keep us posted guy.

Good finds! If you find the owner it will be a moment to remember for both of you!! I am a Vietnam vet and I also pray that the owner was not one of the 59,000 brothers I lost over there!

That's a real beauty! Congratulations!

Good luck tracking the owner.
