I went out to do some beach detecting after the storm that droped 40 inches of snow, surprisingly the water was warm at jones beach. I mostly do land detecting but today I decided to take the excal 1000 out today with the stavrscoop. I did pretty well, managed about 2 dollars in clad, I decided to hit the ripple slough. Im glad I did. I got a banging quarter signal and out popped a 2010 class ring from Kappa III in the bronx. I am trying to locate the owner, so far I have contacted the school, If anyone has a lead please tell me.
The beach was very warm, light breez, I met a few other detectorists. Lol they found nothing ( they were using whites) just remember guys even when its cold you should still be swinging the coil. thanks for looking... check me out on youtube ~ colonialdigger ny
