Yeah I would say that soil is a little harsh on the coins, nice finds anyhow & nice ring!

Congrats on the "fatty". Those early Indian Hears (1859-1864) had a high nickel content. In fact they were were referred to as nickels until the introduction of the nickel five cent piece in 1866. Due to the high nickel content, those date Indians are typically in sad shape from being in the soil for so long.
