Farthing found

Found this 1885 Bronze 1/2 Farthing in a flowerbed of a victorian home in historic downtown Newburg NY with Bergie last evening along with some clad and a wheat 1944.

Nice Farthing! Flowerbeds, if planted with anuals(plants that die at fall and dont come back) will be clear to dig in the fall

Okay, I'll admit that I don't know the first thing about Farthings! How big is the coin - and is there something on the reverse? It's wonderful - and I want to learn more!

Well britania was on alot of different denominations of british coins. Britania is the person you see on the coin there.
