Just before Christmas, I was driving to my sister's house (over the river and through the woods-no actually through the suburbs) and saw that an old farm house from about 1900 had been torn down and a guy was sitting in his car (10 degrees outside) next to the bulldozer at 6:30 am. I naturally did a quick U-turn and pulled my car up to his, rolled down the window and asked for permission to hunt the property. Found the right guy at the right time. Hunted the frozen property twice before snow hit here on Christmas. Found a 1925 merc, 1938 D merc, 3 rosies, a small silver ring 'ruby' ring, and a Mity Midget 1950s cap gun, 8 Wheaties and a ton of junk. I really cleaned up. ps. I never get in trouble for cleaning my finds in the kitchen sink. Cindy

Wow what luck, and great finds

Can you post a pic of the silver ring ,( likely a garnet) - excellent day out ! That many silvers would make my day !!! Argentium.

I think a rhinestone 'ruby', but sure is pretty and bright.
