Is it a 1-piece button, or 2-piece? Either way, I've never seen that type of button with a backmark saying "Rich Good Color." But I've seen several which say "Rich Gold Color."

It is an American-made button, because the british version of that backmark spells the word "color" as "colour."

If it's a 1-piece button with the "Rich Gold Color" backmark, it most likely dates from the 1810s-to-30s. If 2-piece, it most likely dates from 1830s-to-50s.
