Family Heirlooms-- 2 medals, 2 rosaries; need date?

This past Wednesday, my aunt gave me two rosaries and two medals. On the two medals, there is a small date etched in beneath the Virgin-- it says 1830 (is this the year it was made or.. ?). As for the rosaries, one is wooden and we think the other is glass. On the glass rosary, there's a little bubble on the back side which appears to be hollow-- my uncle said it could have held holy water... ? She told me she is pretty sure these four items were her grandmothers (my great grandmother). Any history on these items or useful websites?

Hi there,
? ? ?I looked on ebay about relics, and stuff like your rosary came up.? The little glass thing may hold a relic or piece of something that belonged to someone considered important in the line of Catholocism.? This is also appearantly and old idea and could help you to date what you have here.? I would go to ebay and type in relic and see what you get. They were different sizes of course, but they held hair or cloth or anything related directly to the person who was being revered by the artifact. Just a shot. Good luck
