The Angels were out today celebrating the 200th anniversary of the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner here in Baltimore, they were clipping trees as the flew in formation toward the city....As Mr. Max Would say, The Sound of Freedom!
Todays, Very short hunt, water was smooth as Ice, but 60 minutes later the wind picked up and she turned ugly ...White caps and all...Ruff for the Bay...Came home with just a few targets and one was a nice copper colored Signet, knew it was gold because she was clean, heavy, and dug a few before with this strange looking patina.
Most beach's turn the silver Black or Black and Crusty, Amazing this one turns it Ironish looking, but the War Nickel had a very mild Blackening. 1949 Ben, and a no date Walker Half
Past week was able to slip out a few times. Treasure from a Couple old beach's in the Chesapeake Bay... 2 14k's, 51 rosie, Girl Scoot pin, 1858 IH in ruff shape.... and a Brass what's it? All hunts were just nasty and chilly with the winds blowing, and with water temps falling fast also. Lock was found by my Buddy MDTrapper and given to me, Thanks Carl, Very Cool Find!!
On vacation visiting my daughter and her husband in Chicago, Big storm came thru the last few days, luckily I brought the Excalibur.... had to do the time.
Had a early start this morning and ran into some of Chicago best. Mark, Andrew, and Jim Gleason who drove from Iowa just for this hunt) It was a beautiful morning with out much wind and the water was very easy. After about 3 hours into the hunt I had a double beep in PP, singled out each target in discriminate .. dug the good target, two scoops deep... what a Pig..
