They are 'Magicians coins' - throw them hard enough, and they split in two..

Google a magicians half. PEACE!

I recently found a half with a groove cut in the middle of the edge, running the entire circumference.....it think it might be a yo-yo coin???

Yes, as coin fetcher said, magicians coins. The sound test always gives them away. I've got two. One has heads on both sides. They are usually real haves that have been modified.

i still havent found one of these. I want one haha

I have 6-8 of them now... they sound like a poker/casino chip.

Yeah find a smooth hard surface, like a garage or basement floor. and "throw" it so it hits the rim of the coin, you dont need to power whip it, just harder than dropping it, although dropping it might work too... and it will work it open, where you might need a fine knife tip or something to wedge it out the rest of the way.

Some of them you can pinch it open on the edge of the coin.

I have a 2-headed bicentennial half dollar and a 2-headed 1996 half. They are neat, but isn't something i would prefer over any silver.

Ya, would happily trade for silver.

I have a two headed 1964 half. What moron decided to do that, I'll never know. But it has become my good luck half.

I found many hollow coins 1 two headed 1964 and 3 or 4 fake halfs some odd metal. I found one last week. And a real nice half on one side and funny money on the other side. Made real nice.I keep them all there pretty cool.
