Fake Buckle Information

Yikes! Those crooks are making buckles look like they were dug out of the ground. Most of them are obvious fakes, but a few of them would definitely fool me!
Very useful indeed!

It's unbelievable that these a**hole* aren't sitting in jail. It's a clear act of fraud. With all of the fakes out there it makes it hard for any of us true hunters to sell any of the REAL relics we recover. I personally don't sell my relics but a lot of hunters work hard to find and sell theirs. And with the large amounts that do get sold flood the markets bringing the value down on the ones that are real. And also people are Leary about bidding on these things even when they are certified authentic. This is a problem that doesn't get the attention it really deserves. Some people may honestly believe they have a handed down piece and try to sell what they honestly believe to be real but I would bet 95% of the schmucks selling this crap are nothing more then a con who knows what they are selling. This crap is unworthy of even being a paper weight. If they sat 10 days in jail for every dollar made on these pieces of scrap metal you would see things change. E-Bay shouldn't facilitate this illegal activity either. Any coin, relic, artifact or anything of significant historical value should have to have some type of authenticity required when it can be provided. Unless it is clearly described as a counterfeit, reproduction or it's history can not be proved. They may as well just print money? And E-Bays percentage should be paid with this fake printed money.

Easy snyper... :)

It's a tough deal for e-bay to have to authenticate everything sold on the site... they would fail!

It's always the responsibility of the owner to be knowledgeable enough to know...

I DO agree these folks are frauds and thieves... and outta pay for their crimes, but we need to be smarter then they are.

The problem e-bay would have is just like what happens here sometimes... the site cannot be responsible for what the members post - like fraudulent items.

We have seen fakes here... obvious fakes, but unless there is some absolute proof we kinda have to bite our tongues, and not outright accuse them.

Knowledge is power.

Yeah I guess I shouldn't have teed off on eBay that bad. It wouldn't be that hard for eBay to do something to knock it down. They are more concerned about their percentage. They are aware that this happens.
