This was my 3rd time out to the huge area here used for the Fair Grounds, Balloon Festivals it also has Baseball Fields, an Air Gun Range and Parks for the kids. I gotta say there is some nasty stuff going on out there on the off hours. Seem to be the case everywhere I go for those of you who read my last post. Condoms on the ground, womens shoes, sunglasses, clothes and lots of liquor bottles. But the weirdest find of all, a bank drive through money carrier or whatever those things are called.
Anyway the fair was begun in 1965 and thousands of people visit the area each year. Only problem is the honey hole where the fair actually takes place is fenced in during the off days of the year. That really hurts so I'm limited to the parking lot around it and the wooded area, parks etc. I found trash freaking everywhere! This hobby has really opened my eyes to just how much humans litter the world with their debris. I had to set the little 250 into coin mode and occasionally would switch back to jewelry mode. My first two times out I found clad quarters, dimes, penny's and more trash than i want to admit. This time was just more of the same, different areas. I think I'm done going there. Anyhow here's an areal pic of about 1/2 the area and one more of todays clad 30c worth and some of my other junk finds. I'm also attaching a few historical photos I though were kinda cool. As far as this area goes I give up, taking a break for a while....i'm burnt out from digging trash
