Failed...

probably lost by one of the seabees sent over to construct the mullberry harbors at normandy during WWII.

Have you stretched that flip flop :laughing7:

No snow?

Good finds once again :icon_thumleft:. I thought there is snow chaos in Great Britain but i was wrong.

If only you had a site like that 100-150 years older! Fun, but I agree, I would also be needing a change of pace. :laughing7:

ncb -- naval constrution battallions ( the CB's were linked with the marines corp -- who are part of the navy in WW2) -- aka the " fighting sea bees" for "CB" consturction battalion -- were special military constrution groups --that went in with the first wave as they invaded a place --- they built things to support and assist the military mainly thimgs like bridges and airport runways and such---(as the enemy pulled back they often blew up bridges and made airport runways unuseible by cratering them ) =--- while direct combat was not their "main" role the CB's could also fight if need to , and due to their working close to the front lines they often got mixed up into the fighting at times.

they gained a lot fame for building and repairing airport runways during WW2 on pacific islands -- often while japanese soldiers fired upon them

their "patch" symbol was a navy cap wearing bee carrying a thompson machine gun .

Most of wish we had failures like that on every hunt! The disc that you queried about was most likely
misplaced by a United States Marine Corps advisor assigned to a Naval (Mobile) Construction Batallion.
Very cool find.
