Railway Hill.....

One of the last places we have right now is an area of fallow land near a railway which the owner once ploughed but has left to go wild. We have covered it once but decided the XP might pluck a few things out we missed.

Did OK really with a Billion Ant. of Postumus AD265 - this counts towards our Roman Silver count

Good 17th Century Spur Buckle
Nice circa 1812 Military button - Regiment unknown & a new type to the collection :)

William III sixpence (slightly bent for a love token, like the one you didn't find :D ), there is a blank silver shilling as well.

Threepenny bit...Surprisingly in 18 months of detecting I still haven't come across one yet!!

Lovely finds as per usual...

As long as you find something that will keep you busy with Google for an hour when you get home, it is a fine day.

The only better day would be finding a gold coin, or eating the best tuna melt ever.

Little need for google, my google head comes up with an instant 'I'm feeling lucky' response in 'real' time field hunting mode.

man you should have a box full of those things!

First subject is Failed Crop Area No.2 - Day 2,,,,,,, then tried elsewhere
Second subject is Railway Hill.....
How do you do that?

In 2.jpg is that a small silver (or silver plated) button inside the large buckle?
What is your Jeton count up to now? You seem to find one of those each hunt.
Another question I would like to ask is about your token (lead) count. I never
really find those...

Nice finds! Was the area near the railroad the place I know? Hard ground?

How do you do that? (do you mean change the subject line? If so just delete it & enter what you want)

Its the top of an 18th C Tombac button.
Don't count jettons, but probably about 30ish, same with the Lead Tokens.

No, its further along to the next villiage, its very stoney.

OK, thanks for the info!!!
