Turned out a nice day & we carried on the hunt for 5 hours (10 combined).

55 buttons :) with some better types of livery, 1 early artillery, 18th C silver cufflink (second this year)
I got 2 Silver Shillings 1860, 1874 & a broken hammered but Cru'dad got a lovely Lizy Hammered - 1591-95
Ancient bronze awl (maybe?)
Tudor Book Clasp

A very good result for this field :)

Yes, an early Lead Token, with another under it.

Strange that these lead tokens are hardly found in Germany. How can they be dated?

Very difficult, as they spanned from 13th Century - 19th Century. Rarely I get dated ones. Most are 18th Century. The Cross & pellet type are thought to be 13-14th C.

I have all mine pictured by a local book writer, as these are greatly under studied.

I know & on a field we didn't think had that many, if we had stayed another 2 hours we would have. But we are pacing ourselves, as we are quickly running out of land.

Crusader, again you had a fantastic day. I just love the coins.... you must have an amazing collection of coins by now.

God bless
Peter

I think I do :)

Those are some really cool buttons

Again great finds. Funny that you found 'another' silver cuff link! We were just talking about those!
The liz is a nice hammered Cru-Dad, you were just quicker than Cru! The button count was out of
this world again, just keep that up and you should easily break the 10,000 mark!

Crusader, you (and your Dad & Mates) continue to find such an incredible variety and quality (let alone Quantity !) of treasures :notworthy: :notworthy:

You could always adopt me...... :D

Mike

As always great finds :icon_sunny:

Ancient bronze awl top of 4th pic. What's the other bronze relic same pic? Could it be a fibular brooch or part of a buckle?

Great job crusader. I really like the shillings and the hammered.
