Well.........
We returned to this field for 1 last session as the Spring Beans (replacing the failed Winter ones) are starting to show, & we had done our job as moving scare crows.
This farm we only got last year, it had been done by others but not very well  (Last year got nearly 50 Roman Coins)
We had worked out on this massive field that it was worth gridding the lower section below the Roman/Celtic Site, which was lighter sandy soil. We deployed one of our usual tactics when doing large areas of new land & that was the opposing grid system. I grid right, Cru'Dad left & which ever picks up the most, the other switches sides.
Shocking result again!

Great hunt , imagine me getting excited over a 1700s silver . I would have a stroke with one of those silvers:occasion14:

Every area we try on this land is new mapping knowledge to us. What we like about this new land is the 'range', any period could & has popped up. (except Bronze Age, seen a little Stone Age, so could be there)

Excellent hunt as usual Cru, and a great array of finds. It's difficult for me to imagine how long ago some of those items were dropped - just amazing.

Congrats

Very nice hunt, especially the Celtic silver! What date range would you put on the dart :tongue3:

Man I'm always in awe of the relics y'all dig over there. What an unreal feeling that must be to dig and hold in your hands something that old. I'm excited finding something from the 18th century and y'all are pulling out BC relics!! Really cool and thanks for sharing!

THANKS TO ALL THOSE THAT COMMENTED.

We are very pleased with the site choices we have had this year, I'm hoping it will continue into the harvest season!
