Pic 1. on the bottom.... is that a bottle opener..... or some sort of low torque self adjusting/multi size spanner?

Part of a circa 1900 Spur.

That is a Marlin Spike use for ropes.I did had one in the Navy,a LONG time ago!

Not on the bottom of the picture it isn't, but the pen knife above it, is a 1930s-40s boat type. (like you point out) Made by Captain O.M Watts Ltd (London WI)

Nice lead finds Cru! Something different to all these musket balls out there. Like the buttons with the Prussian double headed eagle as my fave!

Nice finds! You Europeans sure dig allot of neat old stuff! What is that on the 7th picture down on the right that looks to have a tree on it?The reason I ask is I was hoping you might know, because I found something similar awhile back and never could put my finger on it!good stuff Crusader!

Its a Lead Token, with a lattice work design on the reverse, difficult to date.

Maybe I've missed it over the years here on TNet, but I don't recall hearing you complain of trash
Wish I could say that! Nice finds Cru!

I'm pretty happy digging lots of trash, as long as there are keepers as well, which there normally is.

It's my find of the day, but it's a guess on the ID. Not seen one like & can't find it online.

Anyone know?

LoL, you lend me in the right direction because you're in doubt. :laughing7: I had a closer look and i say it's czaristic russian. The orb lend me on the wrong way. I would say an even better find!

Checked ebay and found a 10 Rubel Gold Coin. Compare the eagle to the one on your button, i say match. :occasion14:

Thanks, I got a similar response in the What Is It. I don't really study non-British stuff otherwise I would need to stop working.

You sure seem to have a lot of failed bean crops over there. At least you're detector's not failing you as you continue to pound out the finds on a regular basis. Nice hunt!

Not really, its only 1 field but its about 2 acres worth. Although we might normally cover that in 10 man hours, this area is practically a dump with masses of trash, so loads of digging.

PS. We had 1 other field of failed Wheat.
