Probably washed up from Irma a couple weeks ago. It has barnacles on it so it's been underwater some time. I think it's a cane, although it could be a club or decoration of some kind from a ship.

I thought it was wood but when I scrubbed it later at home it's actually white underneath. Maybe a whale bone or something.

Whoa! Where were these found? If they are whale bone this could be something really special!!

you have me very intrigued.....

Really cool find. Maybe part of an old walking stick. Try to get more info on the material. I'm thinking banner material here, especially if mid 1800s and hand carved.

I tested the material with a hot poker and it burned, it appears to be made of just common plastic, and if that's the case this is no more a relic than a modern Halloween decoration. Cool looking regardless but not something spectacular.

I was getting excited reading everyone's posts, then you popped the bubble. I think it is still a keeper.
