I took my daughter metal detecting today on the beach with my new F22 and for some reason, anytime she "bumped" the coil on the ground, it would give an audible tone as well as register a reading on the screen even though there was truly no target. Have any other F22 owners had this issue and maybe ideas on how to fix it? Thank you in advance.

It happens with other models as well. Hitting the coil on the side of a stalk, tree trunk, or dirt clod can produce a sound.
Try turning down the sensitivity a bit to see if that changes/reduces the frequency of times it falses.
Check the wire connection also the cable to see if there isn't an issue. (Wiggle the cabling) to see if does anything
A crack in the coil can be an issue.

Agreed. This is so common I just assume it's a known issue with all metal detectors.
