Detector(s) used
Tesoro Euro Sabre
Hey folks, I am going to put my very nice Tesoro Silver Sabre µMax up for sale. It is in great condition and works 100%. This is the older Silver Sabre µMax model not the newer Silver µMax. the newer Silver µMax is a great detector but in my honest opinion the Sabre is even better. They have a nicer tone, hit harder on jewelry & has a handy pinpoint button. I don't have the manual on it but you can view and or print it off here http://www.tesoro.com/info/manuals/older/silversabreumax/ It is mounted on a new 3 pole Tesoro rod setup and comes with a new 8" concentric coil. It has been professionally mod'ed with a adjustable ground balance control. The only reason for selling it is because I have a chance to buy a Cibola, I have always wanted to get one and do the ground balance mod. on one. I have gave it alot of thought and decided that I am reading to get in the guts of a Tesoro and operate. I feel $259.00 is a very fair price. If interested or have any questions please give me a shout at [email protected] Thanks! Steve.

Hey Skiwhiz, what are you asking for that Cibola you haven't got yet ? Something tells me it will be for sale soon...
Just kidding Steve, the Cibola is a nice detector and you will like it. Only issues I had with my Cibola was it didn't wanna read targets in the plug after I dug them sometimes. Not sure what the deal was so I traded the detector off.
Other than that I really liked it. Hope things are going well for you.............Roger

Hi Roger, good to hear from you. Things are going well except for all the heat we have had up here, I am still haying it been a long haying season & getting tired of it. I have often wondered why some detectors don't beep on the plug target as well as others. Matter of fact I have ask the question and got replies back saying - it is the way the coin is sitting in the plug, it be on edge sidewise, etc. This is true to some extent but there are those detectors that just plain won't hit hard on plug target well no matter which way the coin is. There is no real big reason for wanting a Cibola other than have wanted to attemp the ground balance mod. I have loved tinkering in electronics for many years. Have a good one. Steve.
