FOR SALE GPX 5000 - $2950

I have a used Minelab GPX 5000 for sale in very good condition. It comes with all the standard stock stuff (and a few extra goodies) except for the original box. The headphones have never been used and the coils have only been used a couple times. It was purchased in January of 2013. The reason the price is discounted so low is because the settings are in spanish. If you can learn ~20 settings or spanish words you can have a like new detector for about half the cost. PM me if interested and I can send pics and serial number etc. I don't expect this one to last long.

Thanks. I agree. I've had it awhile and everyone's who's been interested has just ended up buying something else. I think they're intimidated by the Spanish but it really isn't very tough. You just learn a few things and voila you've got the best detector out there.

Thanks El Padron. I appreciate the word of mouth.

Just FYI they come in Russian and Arabic too

Good luck with ur sale learning a couple words is a small price to pay for an awesome detector, friend of mine has one & it seems like theres nothing that can hide in the ground if its there he will find it

Thanks Christo. They are amazing detectors I hate seeing this one sit around never getting used.

I just went back to a patch I hadn't been to since I had the GPX 4000. Pulled about 7 oz in a 2000 square foot spot with the 4000. It was funny seeing the bare spots where I filled all the old dig holes and remembering how many were hot ground and rocks. With the 5000 never heard even one hot spot but pulled about a dozen dinks right off the surface and 2 deep ones. That fine gold setting completely ignored the mineralization making the faint targets sound plain as day.

That's a very good price I can't beleive it hasn't sold yet

Maybe some pictures will help.

Man what a deal! I have been contemplating getting one as soon as my CPA gets my' 2013 Business accounting done, I file my' 2013 taxes and see what I am going to get back. I just filed my' 2012 taxes late (yeah, long story) and am getting a pretty good bundle back but need to see what the 2013 taxes adds or subtracts from it. I have even thought about trading 6 or 7 of my' metal detectors towards the cost of a GPX 5000. I assume it would not be hard to get new control stickers from Minelab as I don't speak and can't read much Spanish.

Taxes! Perhaps that's why the lack of interest. Only thing I can figure. I know they take a chunk out of me this time every year. This year was especially tough. And being in California doesn't make it any easier.
I am able to work a deal on coils as well if someone does buy this machine.

What coils do you have? Interested in a 10x5 elliptical.

Good deal, to bad she's not water proof..

The work is done now, no need to learn any language

Thank you OBN. That's a helpful picture to show the difference. Doesn't seem too intimidating for such a price but I've still had no replies with interest so perhaps It's more intimidating than I think. You don't have to learn or know Spanish to use it. After all how many people know what mono or dd mean before they started detecting. What's he difference if they have to learn doble d instead?

I'd take it but I don't think selling my f75ltd would raise the money

Since I am unsure as to when my' 2012 Tax Refund will be in and when I will be able to file my' 2013 Taxes and receive a refund, if any, would you coinsider a trade of very valuable sculptures that should sell fairly easy in the West? I have many bronze and mixed-media sculptures done by Christopher A. Pardell of mainly Western States Native American Indians. Some are on Marble bases and others on wood. I also have 4 bronze scupltures on Marble bases of Wolves which were done by Kitty Cantrell (the Sculpting Artist not the Country and Western Singer) and a solid Bronze scuplture by Mark Hopkins which is named "Cry of the Wolves". All of the sculptures have a combined appraised value of well over $20,000 but there is really no market for these here in the East. I would be willing to make you one heck of a trade in the way of some of these sculptures for the GPX-5000. Also, if you have other items that I am in need of or have interest in, then maybe I would trade you all of my' sculptures. Although this is something I will consider, there is a big problem as the costs to ship all of the sculptures, would probably exceed $300 as most of them are very heavy.

SOLD!!! thanks to everyone who helped by commenting. I accepted a CTX 3030 as part of a trade-in for the GPX 5000. I will be listing the CTX for sale.
