I have been a Fisher CZ fan since I started detecting about 2 years ago.I have tried a Tesoro and a Whites M 6 also.I recently got a new F 75 and I'm pleasantly surprised. It has lived up to all the hype.I have hunted places that I have pounded with a CZ 3D,CZ 70 and Whites M 6 with different sized coils and pulled out silver coins where I could find no more coins with these detectors. The processor is so fast it sounds like a machine gun of sounds when you sweep in a high trash situation. You'll here a high tone in the midst of all that and be able to go back and pick out the coin.It takes some time to get use to all the sounds.I have been learning about iron falsing to coin.If the numbers drop or the tone breaks up with little short sweeps over the high tone it's iron.I have not dug at least one silver coin on only one of the last 7 hunts. The pinpointing has been spot on accurate and it is the deepest detector I've used. This detector gives you lots of target information to help you decide what you are going to dig.I dug very little trash with this detector compared to the others I've used.It is a clad coin magnet,my dime and quarter count has gone way up using this detector. At first it was a little "sensory overload" but now I can just tune in and find coins.I'm definitely buying the small coil and I may buy another F 75 as a backup.Bill

Kickback....I have always been a CZ user...presently both my CZ3D and CZ7 are in the shop for repair....i used my backup detector for the first time last week...ID EXCEL...and hated it. My question for you is do you really think that the 75 is deeper than the CZ3....or is the 75 just better in a trashy area....since you have used both detectors....in your honest opinion, would I be better off selling my 3D and purchasing the 75....and if so why....Thanks for your help in this matter....Steve

What fisher did with the 75 is take all the previous machines they made and rolled it into one machine "F75" It really is a jack of all trades. The biggest things to over come with it is the Sensitivity and independent sens, disc and tones etc. Mid range sens on the 75 is like max on other machines. You have to force yourself not to go full throttle.

But why do so many MDist give this detector such a bad rap?

Because its not a silent search turn on and go detector. You have one preset settings from the factory and its is a hot setting. Someone new "i did it too" starts bumping up the power and there ya go. Its not sensitive, its Hyper sensitive. You have to remember one thing. Dave Johnson and John Gardner played a hand in almost every detector made today, yes all company's. 99% of all the 75 problems have been user error. Whats the first thing anone does when they get a new detector? Take it out of the box inside the house and put it together, turn it on. With us living in a digital world with cell phones, wireless everything you get the picture.

Here is a cut and copy from an interview

Dave: "Old Fisher: 1260, 1220, 1210, 1225, 1235, 1265, 1266, 1280, Impulse, CZ6, CZ5, CZ20, Gold Bug, Gold Bug II, TW6/Gemini, FX-3, and several industrial products.

Tesoro: Diablo MicroMax, Lobo Supertraq.

White’s: DFX, Beachhunter ID, GMT, MXT

Troy: Shadow X5

Bounty Hunter & related products: nearly everything we manufacture. Many of these products are adapted from the original Teknetics which was designed by George Payne. The Teknetics T2 however was an entirely new design.

New Fisher: F75, F4, and everything else since then.

On most of the above I was the lead engineer. On the White’s DFX and Beachhunter ID I developed the multiple frequency circuitry, and other engineers designed products around that circuitry. In addition to the above there are many products on the market which are adaptations by other engineers of products I designed."

John: "Bounty Hunter : I have had a hand in most of our current line up from the bottom to the top, from Guardian to the Time Ranger.

Teknetics : T2 I was main programmer

The Fisher’s : The F4 and F75"

So far the F 75 has been deeper than my CZ3D.It is lots faster, better in trash. With the tones and ID numbers you have way more information about a target than with just the tones alone. This detector will spoil you.It has me.

Put it this way. My Minelab EX2 is my back up-back up. I got another F-75 ;D ;D  for a backup

I'm loving mine. I hit a trashy site today that other detectorists seem to avoid (near the pool at the local park) and pulled $1.48 out in just under one hour with NO trash (29 coins). That is my coin-only consecutive dig record. Though, I did hit a "71" which always means dime and I turned the plug to find a piece of foil. RATS! Just to be sure I poked my FX-1 in and, sure enough, there was a dime!

One target read "78" in one axis on both sweeps but 74 to 79 in a perpendicular sweep direction. Wasn't sure if it might be an aluminum cap but I dug it. A dime and a cent flat together. This in a site where any sweep would yields three or four hits from foil, pulltabs and assorted trash. It is an amazingly fast coil/unit combo with the 11" DoubleD. It will display three targets within a foot of each other and allow you to single out the coin among them, though it may take some lifting and alternate route sweeping.

Dug a 1952 cent from under the guy-wire of a telephone pole I'm sure was avoided by the four or five other sports that detect this park. I was running at a sensitivity setting of "78" today and that's about average. Some days I run 50 or lower. The guys who hop it up to 90 or 99 are likely the ones who think it is unstable. So is a Porsche if you drive to 99 mph on a dirt road full of potholes. You have to set it to conditions. The more i use it the more I like it.

Now if you will just notch in 20-33 you will see your nickel/gold ring count improve as well ;D

Its an amazeing machine..I have to agree with EZ rider..This machine takes a little control ..kinda like taming a hot-rod..sometimes a little is alot..
