"flames from from the stove in the dining car did the mischief in the rear." Mischief doesn't sound right in describing such a horrible crash and burn.

Gotta find that spot Jeff... is it still "tracks" ?

Tracks cross the Delaware & Follow the East side of 611

Not my area , But If I lived there I'd research it

there is a Good Chance since pics say N.J. & that looks like the Delaware to the Left
beyond the trees on this Pic,
that it may not have been at Martin'sCreek Proper(aka Lower Mt.Bethel Twp),
but on the N.J. side of the Delaware (north of Brainards N.J.)

This spot is def worth finding.
Would be a field day in debri.
Could hold many coins and amazingly cool stuff.

Yes from the lookie-loos alone. I'm sure it was like a tourist attraction for at least 5 years after

the one thing for sure.
the Railroad is still functional,
so certain areas would be off limits no matter what.
but hopefully there are some areas bordering the track that you can hunt.

drove around this area today looks to be all off limits areas

Yep ya gotta search where the Lookie-Loos Stood .
(across the Street Maybe ? )
Don't be surprised if someone set up Concession stands
to make money off them.

I read of this happening at allot of Major accidents in the past.
