Thank you Jeff K, I met this man...Robert Ballard...12 years ago in a carpet store in Toms River NJ on RT37, i was unaware of the history behind the man in the blue jump suit with the underwater something or other patch on his left chest...we briefly discussed scuba diving and stuff like that, i had know idea who he was.....
I would drop everything right now to join his ranks and work for free , knowing that my efforts were not in vain and supported a higher cause than the greedy desire of finding treasure

Jeff, thanks for the post / link. I could listen to Bob Balard for hours he has seen so much of our world that has never been seen. He certainly has a good point, we should use more money exploring here. Who knows what we could find. I'm glad to see that there has been a program started, wish they had the technology for that when i was a lad in school. I used to love to watch Jacques Custeau explore the oceans.
The Ted site is also very interesting.
