i almost walked right past this thing but something told me to pick it up
i think that although this is not a very pretty tool it worked good for the tasks it did and was used for maybe longer than just a few times

i would say the buffalo for these tools,shovels, hoes, etc
then maybe turkey for bone beads and whistles
also some awls were made from deer or elk
one tool we seldom see is made from a grizzly bear mandible (the lower one that articulates from the skull)
