"FAME F. Co. 3"

Federal Aviation Medical Examiners? Flags and Arms of the Modern Era? Fisheries Assessment, Monitoring and Ecology? Finance Authority of Maine? Does FAME stand for one of these?

Could it be FA, ME, Fire Company ?

Good call...there is a Fame Fire Company based out of West Chester, not too far from Wilmington dating back to 1838.

I'd be excited about that one too. Very nice find.

That is a very cool looking piece, congrats. Hopefully you can nail down an ID.

It would very cool if it came off of an 1800s fire helmet or something along that line.

Congrats sir!

Awesome piece Duke! Fame Fire Co. seems right on.

It may be a bridle shield from one of the horses that pulled the truck.
