Found this button today in north Georgia. I love it! The back says Clark & Pelletreau. They did business in New York from 1818 - 1822.

Also some other buttons. Two of them still have gold on them.

And a buckle that still has leather and thread on it!

Great button, don't see that style posted very often. Most of them I see have the oval border around the edge.
 

Beautiful old 1-piece button. :icon_thumright: I've never heard of that backmark. Definetly not a common one.
